Europe is moving toward mandatory pre-demolition audits. France already runs one.
Construction and demolition generate more than a third of all EU waste (European Commission). The Circular Economy Act, expected as a proposal in 2026, aims to tackle it at the source: the audit before works. We track the regulation from the country where the audit is already mandatory at scale, and we build the software that makes it measurable.
Why listen to a French source?
Because the experiment already happened here. Mandatory audits since July 2023, a national data platform, before and after works declarations, a methodology standard since December 2025, and three years of market lessons, including the painful ones. Everything the EU debate is about to discover, the French market has already lived.
